An unpublished article written by E. R. Pomeroy about the professional life of his father, Leslie K. Pomeroy, Sr., a forester whose career began at the U.S. Forest Products Laboratory in Madison, Wis., and who later, with his friend Eugene P. Connor (also of Madison), founded the Ozark Badger Lumber Company in Wilmar, Ark. where they worked on developing the concept of sustained-yield forestry management.
